About Ugljan and its surroundings
Ugljan is the first island of the Zadar Archipelago. Located only a short boat ride away from the mainland, one only needs to cross the few miles wide Zadar Canal to reach the regional capital, Zadar. Considering this proximity to the city, Ugljan can be viewed as a suburb of Zadar or in other words its backyard.
Regionally, Ugljan is known for its idillic landscapes, its beautiful oiltrees (as well as of coures the olive oil itself), rich local produce (fish, figs and various wines) as well as Califfi Castle and other medievil architecture.
Popular places located on the island include the settlements of Kukuljica and Preko. If you are coming from Zadar (or if you are planning on visiting the ancient city), Preko will most likely be your first point of arrival as the ferry port is located there.
About us and our apartments
Ugljan undeniably takes up a special place in our hearts. The peaceful, little island has always been a source of joy, delight and happiness for our family. Ten or so years ago we finally decided to share our passion with the many travelers and visitors who wish to explore Ugljan, Zadar and its surroundings, those who wish to take a dip in the stunning Adriatic Sea and of course those who simply wish to kick back and enjoy life.
All of our apartments are situated by a sandy beach, in close proximity to various local bars, restaurants and other venues. The sea is of course just a stone throw away. A shallow access area to the waters will be great fun for the little ones as well as the whole family. Our cozy back garden is the perfect place to cool off and relax in the shade of our gorgeous palm trees. Life can be simple and we really hope that you will enjoy it here as much as we do!
